So this camping thing -- I'm not sure I'm really into it. Sure, being outside was fun. And seeing Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Mike and Aunt Heather and Uncle Mark was great. And I got to meet my cousins (although between you and me, I think they are horses, not dogs -- they are ten times my size). And I played in the mud and hiked a bit. But then the evening came...
It started out okay -- I got to roast marshmallows (mommy helped a little bit). And got my own chocolateless s'mores. But did you know that it gets really dark outside? And that bugs come out and make lots of noises? And it got cold. Mommy and daddy wouldn't spring for air matresses, so we had to sleep on the ground in the sleeping bags. Finally, daddy let me crawl into his sleeping bag with him and I was able to get some sleep.
In the morning, we packed up the car and started home. I was about to lose all hope until I finally saw signs of civilization: the McDonalds (I love it when food comes through the window!) Then we got a flat tire on the way home. I slept in the car (I was so exhausted) while daddy fixed it. When we got home, I was finally able to sleep in my own bed!
