It's been a lazy Sunday afternoon. Daddy and I are watching TV and eating snacks (we're watching the game from last night 'cause it's replayed on NFL network. I know, kind of lame-o). Mommy is cleaning off the balcony. She also put a fence around the tree in daddy's office so I can't garden in there anymore.

Flying
I know, it's been a while since I updated you about my life. And I know that since my life is super exciting that everyone has just been lost without posts by me. The rest of my week was fairly dull. Daddy had a lot of work to do and so I had to help. I sat on his desk and napped. Once I fell off of his desk, but I didn't get hurt. It did wake me up, though.
Yesterday I went to PetSmart with mommy and daddy. This was the first time they let me walk around on the floor. There's so many smells! I also got to play with another puppy that was my age. Plus I got new treats! Lots of fun.
I also got a cape. I'm thinking of taking flying lessons 'cause I'd like to try to catch the robin that's my nemesis. You probably can't tell, but in this picture, I'm helping daddy. He was repairing the towel bar in the bathroom that fell down and I helped by chewing on his tools.

Buffalo Chicken
I tried a new food today -- buffalo chicken. I think it's chicken, not buffalo. It was good, but really spicy. I had to drink lots of water afterwards. Daddy made a bet with mommy that I wouldn't eat it. Daddy lost that bet. He should know that there isn't a food that I won't try.
Here's a picture of me and my caterpiller. I like to play on mommy and daddy's big bed. I'm trying to get caterpiller on the bed, but he's bigger than I am, so I need help.

The Weekend
Hi everyone. Sorry that I've haven't updated in a couple of days. I had a busy weekend -- my Aunt Heather and Uncle Mark and Aunt Sara and Uncle John visited me. And Aunt Sara and Uncle John brought me presents since it was the first time I met them. New toys for me -- fun! Plus, with so many people around, there was always someone willing to play with me (I'm talking to you, Uncle John), pet me, or hold me.
I learned a new game. It's called poker. It's fun, except I'm not really sure why you need the cards. As far as I can tell, the point is just to chew on as many chips as you can.

What does a guy have to do to get a tummy rub around here?
The good news: mommy came home from work early! The bad news: she found out I had been.. er.. gardening in her plant again. Daddy says that what I'm doing is excavating it. I don't know what that means, but I do like digging in the dirt. Mommy says my Aunt Heather and Uncle Mark and Aunt Sara and Uncle John are coming to visit tonight and I have to be on my best behavior. I don't think I have "best behavior" so that might be a bit of a challenge.
New Toy
Last night mommy and daddy were trying to do "chores" when mommy got home from work. My aunts and uncles are coming to visit tonight and mommy and daddy were trying to clean up. I tried to help, but I don't think I was very helpful. First mommy was loading wine into the wine chiller and I sat on her lap and tried to grab the bottles. Then mommy was cleaning out the refrigerator and I was trying to climb in the refrigerator (that's when they keep all the good food!). So mommy put me in the office with daddy and my new toy that's bigger than I am and makes all kinds of noises. Even though I had my new toy to play with, I wanted to "help" so I did some gardening in mommy's plant. I don't think mommy was very happy because she got out the vaccuum cleaner to clean up my mess. I'm not a fan of the vaccuum cleaner.

Buzz
I got an owie today. A bee stung me on my paw and it hurt so bad. Daddy gave me some cream cheese and it made it a little bit better. Ice cream would probably make it all better, but I might be asking too much.
In other news, I invented a new game today. I've played "Let's see what's in the couch" before, but today I created a sequel to it. It's called "See how much of the couch stuffing I can fit in my mouth". I think it's a really fun game, but mommy and daddy don't like it when I play.
Makin' a Mess
I have a nemesis. I don't think I've told you about him. He's a robin that hangs out near my potty spot outside. He sits on the ground and watches me, until I get really close and can almost reach him, and then he flies away. I think he's taunting me. Someday I'd like to catch him.
Yesterday was a busy day for me! Daddy was trying to work 'cause he had an important project to finish, and I kept making messes all over the house. I played in the garbage -- shredding Kleenex is fun!

Just another Manic Monday....
So compared to the weekend, today was dull, dull, dull. I did a little bit of gardening today in mommy's plant. I don't think daddy was happy, though, because I left dirt all over the office. I thought I was helping mommy since all I did was pull out the dead pieces. Mommy and daddy went out for dinner and didn't bring me home any leftovers, so I'm not happy about that. I had to eat just plain kibble for dinner. So I'm hoping there's something good for a snack later on...

Camping
So this camping thing -- I'm not sure I'm really into it. Sure, being outside was fun. And seeing Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Mike and Aunt Heather and Uncle Mark was great. And I got to meet my cousins (although between you and me, I think they are horses, not dogs -- they are ten times my size). And I played in the mud and hiked a bit. But then the evening came...
It started out okay -- I got to roast marshmallows (mommy helped a little bit). And got my own chocolateless s'mores. But did you know that it gets really dark outside? And that bugs come out and make lots of noises? And it got cold. Mommy and daddy wouldn't spring for air matresses, so we had to sleep on the ground in the sleeping bags. Finally, daddy let me crawl into his sleeping bag with him and I was able to get some sleep.
In the morning, we packed up the car and started home. I was about to lose all hope until I finally saw signs of civilization: the McDonalds (I love it when food comes through the window!) Then we got a flat tire on the way home. I slept in the car (I was so exhausted) while daddy fixed it. When we got home, I was finally able to sleep in my own bed!

Another Park
Mommy and Daddy said we're going to another park today. This time I have to ride in the car for a longer time and we're meeting my Grandma Nancy and my Grandpa Mike there! Plus, my Aunt Heather (who plays hide and seek with me) and my Uncle Mark. And -- this is the best part -- they are going to bring along my doggie cousins. I haven't met my doggie cousins yet, but I can't wait. I love to play with other doggies!
I guess we may also do something called "camping" tonight. I'm not sure I understand this, but I think daddy puts up this thing called a tent and we sleep in it all night. Daddy put up the tent in the living room last night, and I'm not sure why we would want to sleep in it instead of in a bed. But I guess we'll see....
Anyways, I probably won't hit you guys back until tomorrow afternoon, so stay tuned. Peace!

Watchin' Football and Eatin' Ice Cream
I was better behaved yesterday then I was on Wednesday. I only chewed up one thing -- the nozzle for the air pump that daddy was going to return to Target. Really, I think it's his fault for leaving it on the floor. Oh -- important news -- they finally cut the grass so now it doesn't tickle my feet when I'm outside. It makes it much easier to go potty 'cause I'm pretty picky about my potty spot.
Last night daddy and I watched football on TV and ate ice cream. I like ice cream. Not sure about football, though, 'cause daddy yells at the screen. Then I had fruit snacks with mommy. I also tried green beans yesterday. My review: better than grass, not as good as ice cream.

Chewing
Apparently I'm "destructive". That's what daddy keeps telling me. Today I ate one of his books. It was a new book and he yelled at me for chewing on it. I guess books aren't worth as much on ebay if they have bite marks on the corners. Something about how now it isn't in "like new" condition anymore. Who knew? I like to think of it as being personalized. What can I say, I like to chew. I'm still exploring the world and trying to figure out which things are edible and which are not. And if you leave things down at my level, I chew on them. Here I am checking mommy's lunch bag for leftovers. There wasn't any.
Yesterday
I was not very well-behaved yesterday. I got into the frog food and ate some. Daddy had a talk with me about being a dog and not a frog. I shredded the newspaper. I picked through the trash in the bathroom and tried to eat daddy's old razor. It's sharp! And I still eat grass every time we go outside -- I hope the maintenance people will cut it soon so that it won't tickle my feet anymore.
I've told you how much I like to sleep right? Well, I sleep through the whole night now and don't have to go outside at 3 am anymore to go potty. But I do have to get up at 5:30 am with mommy to go outside. I don't like getting up, so when her alarm clock goes off and she gets up, I hide under the covers next to daddy's legs. Somehow, she always finds me....

Hot!
It's been so hot the last couple of days. Too hot to even play outside with my friends. When I go outside, I don't really get to play too much -- just go potty and come back in. I also haven't been feeling so well lately. Mommy says it is 'cause I've been eating grass. I can't help it, it tickles my legs and I just have to bite it.

Lazy Sunday
After the excitement on Saturday, Sunday was chill. It was really hot outside (and it's supposed to be even hotter today), so I spent most of the day inside, napping and chewing on my favorite toys. Daddy did some work, so I helped by sleeping on his desk.

Boating and Ice Cream
What an afternoon! Today mommy and daddy took me for a car ride and guess where we ended up -- at a park! It's sort of like going outside for a walk, but so much bigger! And there was a big lake. We went out on the lake on a pedal boat and I got to captain the boat! I was a little scared at first to walk out on the dock ('cause it moved around a little bit), but soon I was doing just fine. On the boat, I got to see a close up of a goose. After the boat ride, we walked around the lake a little bit and I got to go wading. After the park, we went to the Dairy Queen. Did you know that there is a whole store that sells ice cream? Ice cream is one of my favorites and I got a bowl of vanilla ice cream all of my own!

The Movie
Yesterday was sort of a dull day -- daddy had appointments most of the afternoon, so I had to stay home, alone. In my crate. Sure, he put my toys and some treats in the crate with me, but still.... Since it's Wednesday and not raining, we went to see the outside movie when mommy got home. Daddy watched the movie, mommy watched me, and I played with my toys and ate snausages. I also had to take a potty break halfway through. The other highlight of my day was that I got a new toy. It's a tree trunk with squirrels. Mommy or daddy hides the stuffed squirrrels in the trunk and them I pull them out and play with them -- they squeak! It's a lot of fun. I was so excited by my new toy, that I brought the squirrels to bed with me last night.

The Vet
Today I went to see my vet for my 12 week check up. I had to get a shot. I didn't really mind the shot, 'cause the vet puts tasty goo on the table for me to eat. I like eating beef-flavored goo. I didn't like riding in the car, though. It was just daddy and me this time, so I had to ride in my crate. I can't see anything out of my crate. When mommy got home, we walked to the library. Now I'm ready for dinner and a cuddle on the couch.

Another busy day!
As much as I love the weekends, they tend to be pretty busy for me. I played outside with Bella, one of my friends. Mommy and daddy went shopping this morning (while I stayed home napping in my crate), but then we all went to PetSmart this afternoon, so I could get more biscuits. I saw the birdies and the hamsters, and some other puppies. I also got a new toy. Now I'm just exhausted, so I've got to go take another nap.

Busy Day...
Wow! What a day...and it's not over yet. I started off the morning with a "shower". I'm not sure why it's called a shower -- it should really be called what it is -- rain in the house. And my loyal readers know how I feel about rain. Then we went on a death march -- I mean walk -- to the library and then to the farmers' market. Along the way, I met a lot of nice people who liked to pet me and tell me how cute I am (like I didn't already know that!). At the farmers' market, I met a new friend who was exactly my age, even though he was twice my size. We played for a little bit, but then I had to say goodbye and go home to take a nap. I was exhausted.
I'm a big boy now!
Guess what? I made it through the night without having to get up and go out to go potty! I got to sleep all night under the covers (and so did daddy). Everyone is very happy 'round here!
