After mommy came home from work tonight (and daddy and I met her near the metro), we all went for a walk. Well, not Ferb. He doesn't really like to walk on a leash. We stopped at the fountain at restaurant near our house so that I could make a wish (mommy threw my penny in for me). I wished for cheese.

On the Lake
Now that the wedding is over, we get to have fun! Yesterday, Grandpa Mike took everyone out in his boat for a ride around the lake. Since there's so many people, there were two shifts. Since I'm such a great guy, I got to go both times. I love riding on the boat! It's so much fun to feel the wind through my fur and watch the geese flying overhead.
We came home from the lake this afternoon. I slept most of the ride home and went right to bed once we got home. I was so tired because there was so much cool stuff to do over the weekend and I didn't get my normal 18 to 20 hours of sleep per day. I've got a lot of catching up to do over the next couple of days...

The wedding
So I found out what a ring bearer is last night. It's not as cool as a bear. I dressed up in a tuxedo and had to wear a pillow on my back. This is me when mommy told me about the pillow that was going to go on my back. It was during the party where everyone (including me) was dressed up and eating cheese. After the cheese party, Uncle Mark tied the pillow to my back and walked me down the hill to the lake.
Mommy and daddy stood on a rock by the lake -- mommy was in her white dress and daddy was dressed in a tuxedo like me. The guy in the shirt with the funny collar said some words and then I had to walk up to mommy and daddy and bring them the rings that were attached to the pillow on my back.
After mommy and daddy took their rings off the pillow, I had to go back by Uncle Mark and lay down again. (I thought I should stay with mommy and daddy since this was my part, but Uncle Mark disagreed.) After the ceremony, we had dinner and cake. That was my favorite part. Mommy said I was a good boy during the ceremony 'cause I sat by Uncle Mark and chewed a stick during the ceremony.

I'm a bear!
For this wedding thing that mommy has been talking about I have to be a bear. Well, mommy said I have to be a ring bearer, but I don't know what that is. So I've decided to be a bear instead. I've been working on my growl face. I practiced last night on my Great-Uncle Randy when he tried to pick me up by my harness and take me away from his dinner. I don't think he was happy.
This morning, mommy dressed me in this shirt and she and daddy have been really busy putting flowers and candles all over the house. Everyone keeps telling me how cute I look and how I have to be on my best behavior. I heard something about Uncle Mark escorting me down the aisle and something about a pillow tied to my back, but I'm not exactly sure what that's about. My back seems to be a funny place for a pillow -- how will I sleep on it? I guess I'll find out later.

A big house with everyone I know!
I was totally right about us going somewhere! (and it wasn't camping!) After daddy came out of the store, we got back into the car. I had to sit on mommy's lap since there was a bunch of flowers in my seat. We drove for a little while while I napped and we arrived at this really big house on a lake! I remember us being here before -- a few months ago -- but I didn't get to get out. This time I got to get out of the car! The house is so big it has stairs inside it! There's an upstairs and a downstairs and a main level where the kitchen and the couch! I lost count of how many beds there are for Baxter to sleep in!
Last night I had a great time running around this big house smelling everywhere. I got to hang out on the deck, which is kind of like our balcony at home, but a whole lot bigger. And there's chipmunks everywhere!
The best, though, was this morning. I thought mommy and daddy and I were just going to stay in this really big house, but this morning the doorbell rang and I ran to the door. Daddy opened it and guess who was there? Aunt Sara and Uncle John! Oh my goodness, on my goodness! I was so excited that they found me at this strange place that I did puppy runs all over the living room!
Then, throughout the day all the people who know me came to the house -- my Aunt Heather and Uncle Mark, my Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Mike, Grandma Linda and Grandpa Ray and Great-Aunt Becky and Great-Uncle Randy (I visited them last year at their house in Wisconsin!) Each time someone new came, I got to show them my house. I raced up and down the stairs! It was so much fun.
Mommy says that there is going to be a wedding tomorrow and I have to dress up and be on my best behavior, but I don't know what that means. I'll let you know later.

Going someplace
We're going somewhere. I know because mommy and daddy loaded all kinds of things into the car. I was a little concerned last night when mommy put all my favorite things into a suitcase and closed up my crate. But this morning, they put my suitcase, my crate, and me into the car. Right now we're stopped at Costco. I can't go in here 'cause there is no puppies allowed, but mommy and I are hanging outside waiting for daddy to come out of the store. I'll update you later on what happens.

Rawhides!
Guess what I learned last night? Give up? How to open the plastic bin that has my chew treats in it! I'm so excited! This means that I can get myself chews anytime I want. And I did. All night. When mommy discovered my new talent this morning she seemed less than happy. She collected all the chews I took out during the night in a big pile and told me that she was going to have to lock the bin.
Okay, so maybe I did go a little overboard during the first night. And there is a couple that I didn't really chew on, just tasted and decided I liked something better. But still, I think it's pretty cool.

Labor Day
Now I understand why it's called Labor Day. Ferb and I certainly did Labor today. Daddy was installing some organizer thing in the cabinets and Ferb and I had to help.

I helped daddy open the packages.
I also read the instructions to daddy.
All in all, a very busy day for both Ferb and I. It's a good thing for daddy that we're such good helpers.

Bad Baxter
I was a bad boy today. I tried to sneak some treats, but I accidentally knocked over the whole treat bucket. Naturally mommy and daddy heard the noise and found out I was helping myself to snack time. They got mad. I'm not supposed to help myself to treats. I'm on a "diet", especially since the vet called me "wide" last week.

Eatin' Corn in my Snuggie!
I got a package from my Grandma Linda today. She sent me a Snuggie! I've been wanting one for so long 'cause everybody knows how much I love to stay warm. And with winter coming, I need to make sure that I stay nice and cozy. So I decided to wear it today. The corn husks, well, I was helping daddy clean the corn for dinner. Although I think daddy doesn't agree that I was helping, but instead "scattering corn husks all over the house." That's helping, isn't it?

The bed
Mommy made the bed around me today. Can you believe the nerve of her? I wasn't done sleep, but she insisted that the pillows needed to be put on top of the bed. I was sitting at the top of the bed and she just put the pillows all around me. The worst part was when she stuck the middle pillow right under my chin.
