Ferb!

Since Ferb came to live with me a couple of months ago, we've been teaching each other lots of things.  Like I taught Ferb how great chicken tastes.  Ferb taught me how to jump from one couch to another without touching the floor.  I'm hoping that he will teach me his newest trick, though.

I think climbing on top of the refrigerator would be an incredibly useful trick to master.

Bathtime

Today mommy and daddy took me to my school. At first I was also excited to go to my school on a weekend, but then I found out I was getting a bath. Apparently it was some fundraiser for police dogs.


The bath took place outside. As you can probably tell, I wasn't really happy about this whole bath thing.


Although I look innocent in this picture, the minute I was put down on the ground to dry off, I decided to make a run for it. Like all sensible dogs, I ran inside as fast as I could (someone nicely held the door for me) to get into the air conditioning. Inside, I found a table with food. Mommy and daddy promised me a treat when I finished my bath and sure enough, when I was done, I got a yummy treat!

Wanna play cards?

Mommy and daddy keep my treats and rawhides on a bookshelf in the entryway. They also keep games and cards in there. Today I was going to go get myself a treat (I love to get my own treats, although mommy and daddy aren't happy when I do) and I got distracted and found something else to play with. Anyways, anybody up for some Blackjack?

Can you see me?

Let me explain.  For some weird reason, mommy made me get out of bed early this morning.  I mean early.  Like 10 am.  I showed her, though.  When she wasn't looking, I went back to bed.  She'll never find me here.

Ferb goes to the Doctor

Ferb had to go to the doctor today cause it was time for his rabies shot.  Daddy loaded him into his mini-crate so that he could go in the car.

I didn't get to go along, but I kept Ferb company until daddy was ready to go.  I assured him that our vet was really nice and that everything would be fine.

Daddy reports that Ferb did a good job at the vet.  (Baxter is a little upset that this picture makes him look as big as Ferb's mini-crate.)

I'm a TV star!

The local TV news station came to my school today to do a special report.  I'm famous -- check me out!

Naptime!

Ferb and I both had a pretty busy weekend with our aunts and uncles visiting us. We both were pretty tired after they left. And it looks like we both decided that mommy and daddy's bed was the perfect place to take a nap.

4th of July

My allergies are pretty bad today. I woke up this morning with a puffy eye. Daddy gave me some medicine to help me feel better and it's starting to work. Nevertheless, the 4th of July is a pretty important holiday. So important that I have to dress up for it. And since the show must go on, mommy helped me into my costume.

The cooler

We've got company this weekend -- my Aunt Sara and Uncle John and Aunt Heather and Uncle Mark are here to visit me. Since I'm the youngest, I am apparently the official beverage fetcher. (I really don't know how this rule came about, but I'd really like to challenge it). Of course, since I don't have thumbs, someone has to open the cooler for me before I can "fetch".

No, I don't smoke

Check me out! Mommy and daddy got me these weird rawhide chews. It looks like I'm smoking a cigar when I chew them! All I need is a glass of scotch to go with my cigar and remote control and I'll be all set!
