I'm sick

I threw up this morning on mommy and daddy's bed. Mommy had to take all the covers off and wash it, so she made me a Baxter bed on the couch with my blanket and toys. She told me I need to sleep there until I feel better. I might spend the day on the couch.

Workin' on the Weekend

Quick! Somebody tell daddy that today is Saturday and I shouldn't have to work. He tried to make me take dictation. Since I don't have thumbs (or know how to write), it didn't seem to work out quite as he had planned. On the brighter side, I found a new toy!

I'm hiding....

...in the closet! Today was a normal sort of day. Mommy went to work. Daddy stayed home with me and worked. We went outside. I went for walks. You can't see it in this picture, but my paws are still a little bit blue. Yesterday, daddy left a pen where I could chew it and I had a great time! Daddy got most of the ink off my face before mommy came home, but the stuff is still kind of there on my paws. Oops.

Nap Time

So I was so tired Sunday afternoon from following mommy around all morning that I fell asleep on my panda. I slept for hours and when I woke up, my neck hurt a little. Not sure what that's all about.

Today was kind of a boring day. Mommy came home from work late and it was raining out when daddy and I went to meet her.

Hangin' out with Mommy

Daddy went to his friend's house today, so Mommy and I are hanging out. We went outside for a little bit, then we did some work in the office. (There was a fly near the window that I had to chase.) I worked in my (er...daddy's) puzzle book a little bit. I'm hoping to get a nap in later this afternoon. All in all, though, it's been a pretty chill day.

Waitin' for the Fun to Begin

So it's the weekend. Finally! I got up early this morning to see what the plans are. Mommy and daddy both got up and got dressed. They closed the bed so that I'm not able to sleep on it and put the gate up in the bedroom. That isn't a good sign. When they do something like that, it usually means they are going somewhere. I just hope that I get to go along. Last night I didn't get to go along. Mommy and daddy didn't come home until later. I had to sit up and watch until they came home. They brought me some steak, though, so I was very happy.

First Day of School

I'm exhausted. Today was a very busy day for me. I knew something was up last night when mommy said she was packing a lunch for me. I wasn't sure what was going to happen today, but today was my first day of daycare! I got to spend the whole day playing with other doggies in a big gym. I got so tired! Luckily there's a break during the day when I get to eat my lunch and take a nap. When daddy picked me up, the people at daycare gave him my report card for the day. They said I was a good puppy and that I liked playing with the other puppies and especially like wrestling. I love daycare, but it makes me really tired. When I got home (and in the car on the way home), I just had to nap.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Good morning everyone -- and to each of my Valentines out there -- a special good morning to you! Indeed, mommy and daddy did get me a present! I opened it all by myself (with a little help from mommy). Check out my scarf -- mommy calls it jaunty, but daddy uses another word to describe it. And he won't let me go outside with it on.

Mommy's Little Valentine...

Will you be my Valentine? I know, technically Valentine's Day is tommorrow, but I'm trying to line up my Valentines in advance. I like to be prepared that way. I don't really have any plans, yet, although I'm hoping mommy and daddy will take me to the dog park so that I can run and play in the snow. I've so been wanting to get outside without my leash on so that I can play in it. I'm also hoping for presents from mommy and daddy. I still have to make daddy a Valentine's day card, but shhhh...don't tell him. I want it to be a surprise.

Why are you looking at me? I didn't do anything...

I am so over this snow. It's cold, wet, and hard to walk in. I try to follow in the footsteps that are already out there, but my legs are too short for human footsteps and I can't always find doggy prints to walk in. The snow has started to melt on the top -- and then it refreezes -- so there is a slippery crust on top of it. So not fun.

On the bright side, I went for my day care exam and interview yesterday. I passed! Now I get to go to school once a week and play with all the other doggies. It will be lots of fun!

King of the Hill!

Mommy, daddy, and I went outside for a walk this afternoon. I had to wear my boots since there is lots of the chemical stuff that makes my feet all hurty outside. Daddy and I climbed up on a H-U-G-E snow pile! It was hard work getting up there! Then I ran down as fast as I could and pulled daddy down the snow pile with me! It was so much fun playing in the snow!

Big Snow

So it's snowing out. And everyone is making a big deal about it. Mommy and I went outside to see what the big deal was all about. It's taller than I am out there! The first time we went out, no one had cleared a path so we couldn't go very far. The second time, the condo people had started to clear paths so that I can get through. The snow is still falling out there, so I had a great time trying to catch snowflakes!

Breakfast in Bed!

Every morning after daddy finishes his cereal, I get to drink the milk that is left. (I'm sure I've mentioned several times before how much I love milk!) Normally I'm still in bed when daddy has breakfast and I have to come from the bedroom out in the living room to have my breakfast. This morning, mommy carried me out to the living room and I got to lay on the couch under the blanket and have my milk in bed. So nice!
